Mark Kostabi at the Cutting Room

NYC 5-1-13: Mark Kostabi unveils signature artwork to the permanent collection of the new Cutting Room and celebrates with a concert performance featuring Phoebe Legere and Mollie Israel. 

Kostabi's work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the National Gallery in Washington D.C., the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Yale University Art Gallery the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome and the Groninger Museum in Holland.

Phoebe Legere is a Multi-Format Artist. She is a composer, soprano, pianist and accordionist; a painter, a poet, and a film maker. Legere has recorded for Mercury Records in England and Epic, Island, Funtone, ESP Disk and Einstein records in the United States. Légère has released ten CD's of original music. She has appeared onNational Public Radio, CBS Sunday Morning, PBS' City Arts, WNYC's Soundcheck, and Charlie Rose.

Mollie Israel (daughter of film director Amy Heckerling) is a musician and singer in the band "The Lost Patrol."
