Sample played for the Texas Rangers (1978 - 1984), New York Yankees (1985) and the Atlanta Braves (1986).
Sample writes and co-directs this charming film, "Reunion 108" (2013) about two generations of professional baseball players who return for a reunion game at one of their minor league stops en route to the big leagues. Unbeknownst to them, the owner of the club, arranges an inducement to get the players to reveal novel anecdotes from their past "on and off the field."
