Shepard Fairey mural installation in the East Village

NYC 9-28/29-16: Shepard Fairey (OBEY) mural installation and collaboration with the public art program L.I.S.A. Project NYC to benefit the East Village community, PS19 and middle school on 1st Ave.

The mural "Rise Above" is also a depiction of Fairey's daughter.

"The idea is to put up a mural in the area that could use an uplifting image/message, and give all New Yorkers a reason to look up.
